I'm not trying to convince anyone
I've been down that road
Where everyone stares at you
And asks who you're trying to be
But I'm not trying to be anyone
I'm who I was born as
Are you chasing a dream?
Because I'd rather sit in contentment of reality
Isn't it beautiful to be ourselves?
When did it become a crime to not try to be somebody else?
I can't see the reasons why
And you haven't answered your questions of whys
We were put here on earth
Because we all have a mission
Mission one is to find out who we are
And mission two is to use who we are
It wasn't ever in the masterplan
For all of us to lose our sights
Begging for each other to give some credit
Like we're not good enough the way we are
You can try to better yourself
You can try to judge others souls
But are you trying to build something good and old
Or are you just trying to run away from the meaning of it all?
